JOHNNY APPLESEED CHILDREN'S THEATRE SHOW DESCRIPTIONS

A group of bored children find an old trunk, the contents of which provide the fun materials for them to create an imaginative production of "The Emperor's New Clothes."  Kids will have a blast with this old story told from their perspective, moved along quickly by a Rappin' Narrator, wonderful pop songs and a lot of dancing and silliness. A great way for kids to get the message "Think for Yourself."

Cool Suit
(A new version of "The Emperor's New Clothes")
Script, music and lyrics by Lauren Mayer

In the Kingdom of Transhillaria, the King attempts to find a way to make his daughter smile .  A beautiful young woman, Alixia is under the spell of the Old Gray Man of the Forest and only mopes and pines.  A challenge is issued to the villagers that whoever can make her smile will get half of the kingdom.  Contenders include Wilda,  her two brothers Hans (not too bright) and Simon (good and true), and, of all people, the King’s messenger!  A magic goose provides the solution and a parade of comedy!
